Bandwidth: The switch has enough bandwidth for full duplex (1gig up and 1gig down) accross all ports at the same time (48GBPS switching bandwidth) with a backup 10/100 network as a failsafe.
What does that mean?. This means everyone can use the gigabit network at the same time at full speed. This is not a cheap network setup and most lan party events will only have a 10/100mbps network (10 times slower than ours).

Don't really need it? So when you are copying the UT2004 community update packs of over a Gigabyte, between lord knows how many machines, you think the 10 times more bandwidth won't make any difference or isn't needed? All that time that would be lost otherwise saved for gaming
