Teamspeak install and config help thread. This thread is here to help you get started with teamspeak.
I am not the best person in the world to do this, but I'm sure the rest of the clan will point out anywhere I have gone wrong or missed anything out.
2) Install: Launch the downloaded Teamspeak2 client and follow the onscreen prompts.
3) Check your OS config: Check your OS is configured to use a microphone.
Sorry, only know how to do this in Windows.
Windows: Click [Start] button, then either settings/"control panel" or just "control panel".
In the "control panel", double click "Sounds and Audio Devices" and select the [Audio] tab. Then in the "Sound recording" frame, click the [Volume] button (Make sure you click the volume button in the Sound recording frame as there are more than one Volume button on this tab).
In the "Recording Control" window that comes up, make sure the "Select" check box is checked(Has a tick or a cross in it), then make sure the Microphone volume is turned up high so people can hear you.
Then close down the "Recording Control" and "Sounds and Audio Devices" windows.
4) Check Teamspeak settings: Launch teamspeak and test your microphone is working by clicking on tools/settings from the menu.
In here you are able to set a pressable keyboard button to activate talk, or set the amount of noise the microphone needs to pickup before it starts to transmit. I suggest binding it to a key but this does mean you have to keep the key pressed to speak. Its your choice.
Next, test your microphone is working with the test section.
If your microphone isn't working check the connections. I know what you think but we have already had one person who has spent about an hour trying to figure out why his teamspeak wouldn't transmit and found his mic wasn't plugged in. Its only a 2 second check and it does happen.
5) Join us on teamspeak. You can do this in one of several ways.
a) By clicking on the teamspeak link in the "Game Servers" section of our website www.uklanparty.net. If you are logged into the website you will be logged in with your website username.
b) Type Teamspeak into chat on our CSS or Zombie game servers. This will bring up a Teamspeak status showing all channels in our teamspeak server. Click a channel to be logged in as your website username or anomymous depending if you have an active cookie for www.uklanparty.net.
c) You can join a specific channel from our websites "GameServer_Status" module by clicking the channel. Again you will be logged in as your website username or anomymous depending if you have an active cookie for www.uklanparty.net.
d) Connect manualy using the following details.
Server: 91.186.22.59:8767
Password: uklanparty
